Publish content
Editing never changes what employees see; publishing does. Each publish takes a snapshot of the title and body as a new version and makes it the one every button in every message opens, including messages already sent.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You are a workspace admin. Publishing and restoring versions are admin actions.
- The content has unsaved-to-published changes: the header reads Draft autosaved and Publish is active.
-
In Pyn, open Library in the left navigation and select the content to open the editor.
-
Read the draft once more. Tokens such as
@principal.preferredNameare filled in for each reader when the page is opened. -
At the top right select Publish.
-
The Draft autosaved chip disappears and Publish becomes inactive, because the draft and the published version now match.
-
On the right-hand rail select History. The new version is at the top of Version History, marked This version, with the time and who published it.
Discard a draft
Section titled “Discard a draft”To throw away edits and return the draft to the published version, select the arrow beside Publish, then Discard. The editor reloads with the published title and body. Discard does nothing on content that has never been published.
What you should see
Section titled “What you should see”Open a message that links to the content, or the content’s page, and the new text is there. In Version History the published version is marked with a dot, and older versions remain listed and openable.
Related
Section titled “Related”- Restore a previous version to roll back a publish.
- Content states and versions for what draft, published and previous mean.
- Create content for writing the draft in the first place.
