Campaign states
A campaign has a state of its own and a state on each step. The step state is what you set from the state button in the step panel; the campaign state follows from how it was created and whether its steps have finished.
Campaign
Section titled “Campaign”| State | Meaning | How it gets there |
|---|---|---|
| Paused | Created for verification; nothing sends until its steps are released. | Enrolling a template with Verify Mode on, or duplicating a campaign. |
| Pending | Active: its steps are scheduled and sent on their dates. | Enrolling with Verify Mode off, or creating a campaign on the calendar. |
| Complete | Every step has finished sending. | Pyn moves it here on its own. |
A campaign can also be archived from its panel menu, which removes it from the calendar.
The state button in a step’s panel header shows one of these; the menu under it offers the other.
| Button reads | Stored state | Meaning | Can you edit it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draft | initial | Newly created, neither held nor scheduled. | Yes |
| Manual | draft | Held. It will not send until you choose Automated. | Yes |
| Automated | scheduled | Scheduled to send on its date. The panel reads This message is scheduled. | No; switch to Manual first |
| Sending | sending | At least one delivery is going out. | No |

Only a step in Draft or Manual can be deleted; the menu item is hidden otherwise. A step in Sending or Complete cannot be dragged on the calendar.
