Archive a demographic

A property stopped being useful, or you created a demographic from the wrong one. Archiving takes it, and its groups, out of the lists and the audience pickers without deleting anything.

Steps

1. In Pyn, open Directory in the left navigation, then select All Demographics under Customize.

2. Select the demographic’s row to open its panel.

3. Open the panel’s actions menu (the … button) and select Archive. The panel closes.

4. To restore it, show archived rows in the view and open the demographic again; its menu now offers Unarchive.

Caution

An automation whose audience includes one of the demographic’s groups keeps that reference. Check the audiences of flows that used the groups before you archive, and move them to another group.

What you should see

The demographic leaves All Demographics and its groups leave Employee Groups. Unarchiving puts the demographic back; its groups are re-evaluated on the next refresh of employee data.
