Exporting a table view does not download a file straight away. Pyn builds the CSV in the background and tells you through Notices when it is ready.

## Before you start

- You selected **Export** in the view-type menu of a table view, for example **Directory** > **Active**. [Export employees](https://support.pynhq.com/directory/employees/export-employees/) walks through it.

## Steps

1. In Pyn, open **Notices** in the left navigation.

2. Find the row that reads **[view title]_[date].csv is ready to download**, for example **Active_2026-10-22.csv is ready to download**, with **Expires** and the time left underneath.

3. Select **Download**. The file saves through your browser.

4. Select the dropdown beside the action and choose **Close** to archive the notice once you have the file.

> **Note:** Only the person who started the export can download it, and the file is kept for seven days. An export holds at most 1,000 rows; a larger view is cut off at that point.

## What you should see

A CSV in your downloads with one column per column of the exported view and one row per item. The notice stays in **Open** until you close it, and the file can be downloaded again until it expires.
