You want to show the map to people who do not use Pyn. The export captures the board exactly as it is on screen, so filter it first to the story you want to tell.

## Before you start

- You are on a Journey board view. The **Export** option appears only for the **Journey** view type, not for **Table**.

## Steps

1. In Pyn, open **Journey** in the left navigation and open the view you want to share.

2. Apply any [filters](https://support.pynhq.com/journey/filter-the-map/) and choose the [metric](https://support.pynhq.com/journey/read-journey-metrics/) you want on the cards.

3. Select the view-type button at the left of the control bar, which reads **Journey**.

4. Select **Export**.

## What you should see

A PNG named after the view, for example `Whole Journey.png`, opens in a new browser tab, from where you can save it. It shows every column and card that is on the board when you export.

## Troubleshooting

- **A message says "Could not export image".** The board could not be rendered to an image, which happens on very large boards or when the browser blocks the download. The board itself is unaffected; filter to fewer moments and try again.
- **The export is cut off.** The export includes what the board renders, so widen the browser window or filter the board before exporting.
