You want to ask a question about something Pyn sent you. Where you reply depends on who the message came from, which Pyn shows plainly on every message.

## Steps

1. Look at the sender of the message: the **From** line of an email, the name on a Slack direct message, or the app name on a Teams message.

2. If it is a colleague's name and address, reply as you normally would. Pyn sent the message through that person's own mailbox or Slack account, so the reply reaches them directly.

3. If it is a company address such as `people@yourcompany.com`, reply to it. The People team set that address up as a sender and receives replies there.

4. If it is the Pyn app in Slack or Teams, do not reply in that conversation; there is no person behind the app. Use the contact details in the message, or ask your People team.

5. If the message asks you to confirm or answer something, use the button or form in it rather than replying. A reply does not count as acting on the message, so reminders keep coming until you select the button or submit the form; see [Acknowledge a message](https://support.pynhq.com/for-employees/acknowledge-a-message/).

## What you should see

A reply to a person or a company address lands in their inbox or Slack like any other message. A button or form, once used, changes the message in Slack to show it was submitted, and no reminder follows.
