A cohort template describes who an automation is for: the lifecycle stage, the groups and the reference date. Automations reuse cohort templates so you define an audience once.

- Create a cohort template
- Choose the reference date an automation counts from
- Preview who a cohort matches today

## Where it is in the app

Open `/flows/home` in Pyn and select **Cohort Templates**, or open **Flows** in the primary navigation on the left of every page.
