Archiving sets the automation to **Inactive** and removes it from the list. Nobody new is enrolled; anyone already enrolled still receives their remaining steps. Use **Deactivate** instead when you expect to switch the flow back on.

## Before you start

- Archiving needs the admin or owner role.
- To stop messages that are already scheduled, stop each enrollment under [Enrollments](https://support.pynhq.com/activity/enrollments/) before or after archiving. Archiving alone does not cancel them.

## Steps

1. In Pyn, open **Flows** in the left navigation, then **Automations**.

2. Open the **...** menu at the right of the row and select **Archive**. Inside the editor, select the mode button, then **Change Mode**, then **Archive** ("Archive this flow. Archived flows are also considered inactive.").

3. Confirm. The row disappears from the table.

> **Note:** An archived automation is restored the moment someone changes its mode again through the API or support, which sets a new mode and unarchives it in one step. If archiving fails, Pyn shows an error and leaves the automation as it was.

## What you should see

The automation is gone from **Automations**. Its enrollments remain under [Enrollments](https://support.pynhq.com/activity/enrollments/) and finish on schedule.
